Congratulations to the De Pere Redbirds

2024-25 FRCC Girls Basketball Champions

Conference Season & History

The FRCC plays a double round robin schedule in girls basketball for a total of 18 conference games.  In 2025-26 the number of conference games will drop to 16 as Green Bay Southwest will not field a varsity team because of low numbers.  The FRCC  Champion is determined by the teams conference won/lost record.  If more than one team finishes with the same record to end the season they are considered co-champions.  There are no tie-breakers to determine conference Champions.

De Pere upended Notre Dame’s lock on the conference, winning the FRCC Championship last year with a 18-0 record.  Notre Dame finished as the runner-up.

Notre Dame brought a 68 game conference win streak into the 24-25 season, but the Tritons were not able to add to that streak as they were defeated by De Pere 56 – 42 in the 1st round of FRCC play.

Notre Dame can lay claim to  five total state championships (2013, 2014, 2021, 2022, 2023) as members of the FRCC, all in Division 2.  De Pere (2012) and Bay Port (2019) can also claim WIAA State Championships in Division 1.

No FRCC teams qualified for last year’s State Championships.  However, West De Pere, who joined the FRCC this year was a qualifier in last year’s state tournament in Division 2.  The Phantoms competed in the Bay Conference last year and are a full member of the FRCC replacing Sheboygan South starting this year, 2025-26.
