FRCC Boys Soccer History

The Fox River Classic Conference began competing in 2007 when the eight schools of the former Fox River Valley Conference were joined by four schools from the Bay Conference forming a twelve team league.

Schools of the Fox River Valley:  Green Bay East, Green Bay Preble, Green Bay Southwest, Green Bay West, Manitowoc Lincoln, Notre Dame Academy, Sheboygan North and Sheboygan South.

Bay Conference Schools:  Ashwaubenon, Bay Port, De Pere and Pulaski.

This configuration of schools remained intact through the 2014 school year.  Green Bay East and Green Bay West left the FRCC and joined the Bay Conference at the start of the 2015 school year leaving the FRCC with 10 schools.  West De Pere joined the FRCC in 2025, replacing Sheboygan South who moved to the Glacier Trails Conference.

From the 2007 through 2014 school years the league was split into an East and West Division.  Division standings played no bearing in determining the overall conference champion as the conference played a single round robin schedule.  The Conference Champion is determined by points (2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, and 0 points for a loss).

Green Bay Preble has been the dominant team in the conference, winning eleven Conference Championships including the inaugural season in 2007.  Bay Port is next with five Championships, Notre Dame Academy has three, De Pere and Sheboygan North three, while Pulaski and Ashwaubenon have each claimed one.

The FRCC has also fared well in WIAA Tournament Action.  Notre Dame Academy (8), Green Bay Preble (5), De Pere (3) and Pulaski (2) have all qualified for WIAA State Tournament play.

Notre Dame has had the most success at the State Tournament level having won two Division 2 State Championships and finishing as the runner-up four times in Division 3 and once in Division 2 during the alternate season State Championship held in 2020 because of the covid pandemic.
