The Notre Dame Academy Tritons completed their golf season today finishing on a high note as the runner-up to Prescott in Division 2. The Tritons were in second place, 11 strokes back, after yesterdays first day of competition in the two day meet. Notre Dame made a run at it in today’s second day of competition as they tried to knock off the four time defending champs from Prescott. At a couple points in the meet Notre Dame was at the top of the leader board but they couldn’t hold off Prescott. Notre Dame finished with a team score of 707, three strokes back of Prescott’s 704. The Tritons shaved 23 strokes off their first day total which put them in contention for the Championship. Sophia Baek and Ella Gelb led Notre Dame with top ten individual finishes. Baek finished 6th posting a two-day total of 163, six strokes off the leader. Gelb was 10th posting a 174 over two days. The other members of the Tritons competing at the State Meet were Eleanor Van Handel, Grace Schuh, and Megan Gelb. Notre Dame is coached by Brian Bobinski. Congratulations Tritons!

In Division 1 The Bay Port Pirates were competing in their 7th consecutive State Meet as a team and hoping to improve on last years 11th place finish. The Pirates accomplished that goal finishing 6th overall in the team standings. Bay Port finished strong taking 27 strokes off their Day 1 total and finishing with a team score of 677 over the two days. Adalyn Johnston led the Pirates with an 11th place finish in her 4th and final State Meet jumping up seven spots from her Day 1 – 18th place ranking. Freshman Madelyn Gicius of the Pirates competed in her first State Meet finishing 21st after moving up 6 spots from her Day 1 ranking. Payton Dudra, Chloe Strunk, and Ava Beranek rounded out the Bay Port contingent. The Pirates are coached by Jeff Johnson.

Emma Cunningham (Green Bay Preble Co-op) and Vivien Ninham (Pulaski) rounded out the FRCC contingent competing at the State Meet. Ninham, who is a senior, finished 31st in her first State meet competition. Cunningham, a freshman, had the highest placement representing the FRCC after the first day of competition. She ended up finishing in a seven-way tie for twelfth. It looks as though there could be some good battles in the FRCC between Cunningham and Gicius the next three years.

Congratulations to all the FRCC golfers.
