The FRCC would like to congratulate Ryan and all the Recipients of this year’s Scholar Athlete Award. The following is information released from Sheboygan North and the WIAA. The FRCC has had six previous Scholar Athlete Award Recipients.
Congratulations to Ryan Lang who was recently selected as one of 32 statewide winners for the very prestigious 2025 WIAA Scholar Athlete Award! Four boys and four girls from each of the four WIAA divisions were selected based on both athletic and academic achievement. Ryan will be honored at the WIAA Scholar Athlete Banquet on May 4 in Stevens Point.
Lang is one of five to ever receive this award in North High’s history!

Ryan Lang, Sheboygan North, 4.0 GPA
A 4.0 student, Lang was a cross country state qualifier his junior season and is a four-time Fox River Classic All-Conference honoree in the sport. He swam the 200-yard medley relay at State, setting a school record. He is a three-time sectional champion in track & field; once in the 400m, 800m and 4×800 relay. Ryan writes in his essay, “Another critical lesson I learned is leadership. Now that I am a team captain for both cross country and track, I strive to be like the captains before me; I hope to inspire my younger teammates with my attitude and work ethic, helping them have a rewarding experience and find athletic success.” Lang plans to attend the New Jersey Institute of Technology to study computer science.
